2023 Grand Finals Report
It was a big day at the courts with nine teams competing for a potential seven Premiership flags. After a rainy start to the day, the sun soon came out to provide a great day for netball.
We had an incredible four Premiership teams and three MVP winners.
Starting the day off with four games at 9am, we had our first two Premiership flags. Congratulations to 12U Division 1 winners Team 19 who took out the title with a nail biting one goal win, taking out the minor premiers Panda Elite 4.

A massive congratulations to London Rakanui from Team 19 who was awarded MVP for her incredible defensive efforts!

We had our first Hamersley vs Hamersley game for the day with Team 15 vs Team 14. Congratulations to 15U Division 3 winners Team 15 who were playing up from the 13U age group.

Congratulations to our Open Division 2 winners Team 3 on a great win. After having two previous draws against Steelers 1 during the season, Team 3 came out fighting in their game and took out the Grand Final win by 12 goals.

For the final game of the day we had the Open Division 1 Grand Final which was Hamersley vs Hamersley. Throughout the season there was nothing separating these two teams, Team 1 with two wins and Team 2 with one win leading into the Grand Final. Team 1 took out their semi-final game which secured their spot straight into the Grand Final. Team 2 had an incredible one goal win over the division minor premiers Dragon Fire 1 to secure their spot in the big dance. It was a fantastic game of netball and with the added motivation to secure the win for Team 1 player Toni-Marie who was celebrating her 150th game at the club, Team 1 took out the win.

A special mention to Team 2 Open Division 1, Team 9 18U Division 2, Team 12 15U Division 1, Team 13 15U Division 2 and Team 14 15U Division 3 who all came Runners Up in the 2023 season. Congratulations on making it to the Grand Final, you should all be very proud.
Thank you to all our coaches, managers, assistant and apprentice coaches on all your hard work week after week. Thank you to our committee and volunteers who helped throughout the year and especially during finals stepping in for teams as scorers and timers. Thank you to all our supporters who came down in their best blue and red attire to show their support and cheer from the sidelines.
