Strength & Conditioning
The off-season is an ideal time to make some steps forward with strength and base fitness without worrying about fatigue effects prior to games and training. The Term 4 program will focus on Strength Endurance and Cross Training.
Warwick Workout Special Offer! In Term 4 there is the option to add on an extra 10 casual gym passes for just $50 (usually $150!). That way your daughter can come into the gym outside of the planned session. Please note if your child is under 16 they need to be accompanied by you at all times. Therefore, the offer is also there for parents: 10 session casual gym pass for just $50 (usually $150) – add on your 10 session pass when you book online. You’ll be able to pick up your access card at the start of next term. If you and your daughter both get a causal gym pass you’ll be given an additional session each week for you to do together.
Visit our Strength & Conditioning page for further details. Registrations close 3rd October 2018.

Lets Kids Be Kids
Last year Hamersley signed up to the Play by the Rules Let Kids Be Kids campaign, in support of stopping poor sideline behaviour. As a club, we mostly have excellent sideline behaviour, however as the pointy end of the season approaches tension can rise, so it is imperative poor sideline behaviour does not creep in.
At Hamersley, we expect our sidelines to be positive and to reward great skill or effort with a “Well Done” or a “Good Job” cheer. You must leave coaching comments and player feedback to the team coach. Also, comments relating to the umpiring are not acceptable. If things on the court aren’t going as well as you’d like, a “Go Hamersley” cheer is recommended or to keep quiet.
Tips for Players Tips for Parents Tips for Coaches
It’s important for our sideline supporters to model excellent sideline behaviours, and for us to hold each other accountable for any behaviours that aren’t appropriate.
Let’s keep up the great work and ensure that leading into finals our club has an excellent sideline culture!

Parent Liaison Officer
The Parent Liaison Officer is a volunteer role provided to Hamersley by Leanne Newland, a Clinical Psychologist who specialises in working with children and adolescents. The role of the Parent Liaison Officer is to provide a confidential space in which parents can gain support, advice or guidance in regards to their child, any issues that may be impacting her ability to enjoy her time playing club netball and is independent from the HNC Committee.
If you would like to discuss any issues of concern Leanne will be present at most training sessions from 6:00pm or can be contacted here. Playing a team sport is enjoyable and fun but we understand that it can also trigger other issues such as anxiety that may need support.
