1.1 Our Annual Awards Event is held at the conclusion of the season. This event is for playing and non-playing members, Life members, Legends and club sponsors.
For playing members the cost of the event is included in the membership fees.
A number of awards are presented to recognise members, and the event provides an opportunity for the club to come together and celebrate the season.
2.1 Awards are presented at the Annual Awards Event to club members who have shown outstanding dedication and commitment to the club. A high standard has been set for each of the award’s criteria. Receiving a club award is an honour.

3.1 The Hamersley Netball Club Life Membership is an honour bestowed upon those Club Members who constantly give of themselves over a long period of time. Life Membership is not awarded to a member lightly and to be eligible a candidate must have been affiliated with the club for a minimum of 10 years. View the Life Members Honour Board.

Please note: Assistant Coach, Apprentice Coach, Assistant Manager and Umpires do not accrue any years of service towards this award.
4.1 In order to reward players for long service and loyalty to the club, the Hamersley Netball Club Committee created the Autoparts Toyota Legends Award. 8. Umpiring Excellence Award

- Attend and assist with grading of the club
- Consistently attends training and games
- Actively contributes to their own coaching knowledge and education
- Attaining Netball Australia Coaching Accreditation
- Displays a high level of sportsmanship and leadership skills
- Adheres to the club and association policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct
- Represents the club at Association, Regional, State or National level

- Willingly picks up umpiring duties for the Umpire Development Coordinator
- Represent the club at Association, Regional, State or National level

- Often displays unselfish qualities and puts the team or club before their own personal gain
- Displays tremendous sportsmanship on and off court, to team, opposition, and officials
- Models behaviours that echo the club’s values
- Demonstrates excellent leadership on and off the court

10.1 Purpose: The Rising Star Award recognises a member of the club who has shown commitment, dedication and professionalism, and whom the Committee believes will play an important role in our club for many years to come.

- HNC Apprentice, Assistant or Team Coach
- Attended coach education forums, seminars
- Attained a Netball Australia Coach Accreditation
- Represented HNC, in a coaching capacity, at an Association/Regional/State level

10.5 Medal: The ‘Janine Birkett Medal’ is presented to the recipient of this award. The club recognises Janine Birkett’s dedication to Hamersley Netball Club and her passion for fostering coaching capability within our junior playing members.
11.1 Purpose: The All Rounder Award was initiated in 2018 to recognise a playing member of the club who lives by the Hamersley values and embodies our “be the best you can be” motto, by not only representing Hamersley on the wider netball stage but also giving back to the club which highlights important community service, personal development and emerging leadership elements for our members.
Another important aspect of this award is the commitment to being a “Triple Impact Competitor” (make themselves better, make the team better and make the competition better) whilst displaying these traits on the court, whether at Hamersley or beyond in the netball pathway. The recipient should also live and role model our club values of Respect, Belonging and Professionalism off the court and is the epitome of an all round athlete by stepping up when needed to support either their team or the club or both.

12. Courage Award

- A member who has been struck down with illness however still manages to perform duties
- A member who has sustained a severe season ending injury and has maintained contact with the club and actively worked within their capacity.

13.1 Playing members who play 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300 and 350 games are awarded a Milestone Game Award. Reaching these milestones demonstrates years of commitment to Hamersley Netball Club.
Milestone games of 150 and above are recognised courtside by the club. All celebration arrangements are coordinated by the club’s Culture Officer.
