Keeping Hamersley Members Safe

At present, Netball is required to comply with relevant Public Health Orders and restrictions. Hamersley Netball Club must also therefore follow compliance requirements and we are taking advice and direction from Netball WA, WDNA and the City of Wanneroo.
Hamersley Committee members are unable to answer questions in relation to vaccinations or other COVID-19 requirements and we encourage members to keep up to date with all current information on the Healthy WA website. As volunteers, we appreciate your support and patience whilst we all navigate the pre-season and grading process over the next few weeks.
As Hamersley receives information from our governing bodies, we will share it with our members.

COVID-19 Update – Hamersley President

12 March 2022

A guide to COVID-19 Coronavirus testing and isolation and be found on the WA Government website and includes information on the following scenarios:
  • I have tested positive for COVID-19.
  • I am a close contact and have no symptoms.
  • I am a close contact with symptoms.
  • I am not a close contact and I have symptoms.

Close contacts

Please make sure you have read and understood the current definition for a close contact. Close contacts are now defined as:
  • A household member or intimate partner of a person with COVID-19 who has had contact with them during their infectious period.
  • Someone who has had close personal interaction with a person with COVID-19 during their infectious period.
  • Someone who has had at least 15 minutes face to face contact where a mask was not worn by the exposed person and the person with COVID-19.
  • Someone who has had greater than two hours within a small room with a case during their infectious period, where masks have been removed for this period by the exposed person and the person with COVID-19 (note: others wearing masks in this scenario would not be a contact).
  • Someone who is directed by WA Health that they are a close contact.
This means that, even though a person may have been in contact with a positive case, they may not be considered a close contact depending on the nature of the contact. However, if a person has COVID-19 symptoms they should get tested and stay home until symptoms have resolved.
If you need to notify the club of any scenario in relation to COVID-19, please complete a COVID-19 reporting form.
