Top of the Ladder
Team 26
11U Division 1
11U's don't play finals but Team 26 finished top of their ladder!
After an uncertain start to the season our youngest club team set a task to get as much out of the shortened
season as possible. With so many “new faces” we set up training partners, which encouraged the players
to get to know the members of their team. The team took on board all of the restrictions due to COVID-19
and worked really hard at training.
Our team adapted very well to shortened training sessions and gave 100 per cent at every session. Their
eagerness to learn and take on feedback was fantastic. On Saturdays they were pumped and ready to go
no matter what was thrown at them.
Their resilience to body knocks and getting over it was second to none.
This showed in their progress over the season and a win in every game, which put us on top of the ladder. Well done Team 26, you were a pleasure to coach and adapted well to having two (older) coaches.
Thanks to all of our team helpers – Chelsea for a fantastic job of team manager, Indi’s family for bringing
the team bench to games each Saturday, Darcee’s family for bringing the balls to and from training and
the games, and to all the parents who assisted with the scoring and check scoring at each game. Without
volunteers we could not function as the great club that we are and will continue to be.
Hope to see you all around the netball courts in 2021 and wishing you all the best in your netball pathway.
