Congratulations Michelle Cox - 250 Games!!
Congratulations to Michelle Cox for achieving her 250 Game milestone for Hamersley Netball Club.
Hard work, commitment, loyalty, passion, determination – these are just some of the words that spring to mind when explaining what Mich brings to our club... and that is just as a player! Mich’s involvement with Hamersley spans an amazing 25 years and even though 7 of these were spent in the UK, Michelle remained in touch with the Club and kept her promise to return - although it was a little longer than expected!
Along with her commitment as a player, Mich has coached for 11 seasons and has not only guided most teams to finals, but 8 of them have achieved a grand final appearance.
Anyone that has been lucky enough to play alongside or be coached by Mich have witnessed what dedication is all about. Mich has played an important part in developing many of our up and coming players and continues to be a wonderful role model both on and off the court.
Thank you for all that you have done over the years. You are a true inspiration and we look forward to your continued involvement for many years to come.

Hamersley's Values at Finals
As we approach finals let's take a moment to reflect on Hamersley's Values. These values together with our Code of Conduct apply to all members whether they be players, parents, umpires, coaches, managers or committee.
Belonging
Finals is a great opportunity to come together as a club and show our support by cheering from the sidelines. Court time is determined by our coaches and it's important to support all decisions. If you don't get the court time you were hoping for, remember that bench players are valuable members of the team, providing critical game analysis and lifting teammates with their 'x' factor cheers.
Professionalism
Be prepared, arrive on time and in full Hamersley uniform, including socks! Players, parents, coaches and managers all have the opportunity to conduct themselves in a professional manner by listening, adjusting and respecting the umpires decisions, it is a thankless job and without them we would not have a game.
Respect
As games get tighter and more passionate remember to show respect to the opposition and applaud sportsmanship at all times.
Good luck everyone, let's all work together for a successful finals series.

Congratulations Neen - 400 Games!!
Truly a day to celebrate! On Saturday 14 August our beloved Club Captain Janine Friday (aka Neen) stepped on court for her 400th Hamersley game and we celebrated this massive milestone in true Hammers style.
In her 27 years with our club Neen has played with 113 teammates, coached 19 teams and belonged to 18 club committees. We know everyone who has had the opportunity to work alongside this amazing and inspiring club legend would have felt incredibly honoured and privileged to do so.
Neen thank you for your role modelling, your selflessness to the game, the development of our young kids passing through your safe hands, your sportsmanship, your friendship, your values and your leadership.
You really are a Triple Impact Competitor - you make yourself better - you make the team better - you make the game better.
We are so proud to have you wearing the blue and red.

Fundraiser Cake Stall
WDNA has given the club the opportunity to hold a cake stall on Saturday 7 August. Unfortunately, we could not run a cake stall last year, but in 2019 we raised over $1300, which was a fantastic result for the club.
Cakes/bakery items to sell
We would love all members to assist the club by cooking up a storm in their kitchen and donating any baked goodies such as cakes, cupcakes, biscuits and slices. If you are not keen on cooking or short on time, pop down to the supermarket and pick something already baked for you. All donations will be greatly appreciated. If you are making items that are gluten free or are allergy friendly, can you please label them as such.
Drop off
On the day of the cake stall, please drop off the baked items to either stall as early as possible, with our preference being between 8:30 – 9:30am.
Cake Stall 1 will be under the shelter adjacent to court 8. Cake Stall 2 will be under the shelter next to the match office on the eastern courts.
Volunteers to help on the stalls
We will also need many volunteers to help run the stalls, all players, parents, caregivers, grandparents and children are welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult). Any time you can volunteer would be greatly appreciated and this cake stall will only be successful with the help of the volunteers.
Available time slots
