Strength & Conditioning Program
Registrations are now open for Term 2 of our 2022 Strength & Conditioning program.
Maximise your long-term sport performance, reduce injury risk and ensure you spend as much time on doing what you love!
The Strength & Conditioning program, led by High Performance Coach Julian Ramos, is specifically designed for 11-17 year olds and is based off a movement competency model. Exercises are designed to develop key movement patterns, including: push, pull, landing mechanics, hip hinge, squat, single leg work, bracing.
A typical session can look like this:
  • Dynamic Warm Up, 5 min
  • Landing Mechanics, 5 min
  • Lower Body Strength, 10 min
  • High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), 10 min
  • Core Trunk Stability, 10 min

Compulsory Parent Meetings CANCELLED
Due to Covid issues and the risks associated with bringing large groups together at this time, the Compulsory meetings for all parents scheduled for Tuesday 5 April have now been CANCELLED.
The meetings will instead be delivered via Zoom within the next couple of weeks prior to games starting.

Hamersley Training
Our first training session for the 2022 season is on Tuesday 5 April! Don’t forget your jacket and water bottles, make sure your nails are short and smooth and all jewellery removed prior to attending training.
Please ensure you are at your training court at least five minutes prior to your training start time. For training times, court numbers and team info view our Team Lists.

  • Last order date for Personalised Tops is Saturday 27 February.
  • Pop Up Shop Tuesday 5 April during first training session.

Preparing for Grading
Our first Grading session is on Sunday 13 February. Here are a few important reminders to help you come prepared and ready to go:
  • Jewellery removed (not taped).
  • Nails cut short and smooth.
  • Appropriate netball shoes to be worn.
  • Players are to wear a white shirt and black or navy sports shorts or skirt to all trial and grading sessions.
  • All players need to bring enough water to get them through each session. We also suggest bringing a small towel.

No Limits Netball Registrations Now Open!
No Limits Netball is a fantastic opportunity for males and females with an intellectual disability aged 11 and over to engage with the sport of netball, meet new friends and play in a safe environment as part of a team.
The program involves a weekly training session at the WDNA outdoor courts and optional participation in a statewide carnival in June as part of the Fuel to Go & Play Association Championships No Limits Division.

Registrations for 2022 TACT Trials
Have you registered yet for WDNA's 2022 TACT program? Trials will be held in February/March 2022 and any WDNA affiliated players turning 12 or above can register to trial.
All athletes are encouraged to apply for the TACT program. Changes to the age groups aligns with those for State Cup and GIG WANL (WA Netball League).
Age Groups: 12U, 13U, 14U, 16U, 20U, Opens, Masters & Boys.

Coaches Expression of Interest

2022 Committee Positions Now Open
Hamersley's 2022 Committee positions are now open. Nominate for a Committee of Management role or volunteer for a Subcommittee position!
Please note: Preference will be given to the returning Subcommittee, however the club keenly welcomes all expressions of interest from club members.
Every good club has great volunteers. Parents of our junior members are expected to assist the club through the year and becoming a Committee Member is just one of the great ways you can help us. Open players can also accrue HNC Legend points by volunteering as a Committee Member.
Any member that has other skills not covered in our current Subcommittee roles are encouraged to contact our Club Secretary Nat Ellis to see how they can help with running of our club.
Nominations will close at 5pm on Wednesday 19 January.
